Open Joint Stock "Venture UniCredit Bank" was established the 7th of May 1992. Initially it was called Kyrgyz commercial bank of entrepreneurship cooperation “Kyrgyzmelbiznesbank”. In 1993 it was renamed to Kyrgyz commercial bank of energetics development and reconstruction “Kyrgyzenergobank”. In June 2001 “Kyrgyzenergobank” was renamed to Open Joint Stock Venture “Energobank”. On the 14th of December 2006, by the decision of extraordinary shareholders session Open Joint Stock Venture “Energobank” was renamed to Open Joint Stock Venture “ATF-Bank Kyrgyzstan”. “ATF-Bank Kyrgyzstan” was rebranded to "UniCredit Bank" in 2010.

Bank conducts its activity in accordance with Kyrgyz Republic National Bank licenses № 018 and № 018/1 from the 25th of December 2006 on fulfillment of banking operations in national and foreign currencies.

For 16 years of active and stable work, Bank became one of top 3 leaders of Kyrgyz Republic Banking system and gained the reputation of the most dynamically developing Bank, reliable partner aimed on interests of its clients and shareholders. By the results of work in 2004, 2005 and 2006 Bank was declared the leader in the following nominations: “The best Kyrgyzstan bank”, “The best listing bank”, and “Issuer of the year”.
